If that happens, we will update this Privacy Policy or provide an in-product notice.

We do not sell your personal information for money. We may use some information for advertising, analytics, and personalization as described below.
How We Share Information
We may share information about you as follows:
4.1 Public/Displayed Information
When you create a listing, certain information becomes visible to other users and, in some cases, to the public. This may include:
- Listing details, photos, and asking price
- Your display name and profile photo
- Approximate item location (for example, city or ZIP/postal code)
- Seller ratings or trust/safety signals if those features exist
Direct messages between buyers and sellers are not public, but may be processed by us to enforce safety, fraud, and content policies.
4.2 Service Providers and Partners
We may share information with third-party vendors and service providers that help us operate and improve the Service. These may include:
- Hosting, storage, cloud infrastructure, and content delivery
- Image processing, AI/ML processing, and content moderation
- Email and notification delivery
- Analytics and crash reporting
- Fraud detection and account safety
These service providers are only allowed to access and use your information as needed to perform services for us and are not permitted to use it for their own independent purposes.
4.3 Legal, Safety, and Compliance
We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that doing so is necessary to:
- Comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or government request
- Enforce our Terms of Service or other policies
- Protect the safety, rights, property, or security of Tradia, our users, or the public
- Detect, prevent, or investigate fraud, security issues, or illegal activity
4.4 Business Transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, sale of assets, or transition of service to another provider, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction as permitted by law.
We do not sell personal data as that term is traditionally understood (i.e. for cash consideration), but some laws treat certain sharing for targeted advertising or analytics as a "sale" or "share." See Section 9 for state-specific rights.
Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is perfectly secure. You use the Service at your own risk.
Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as it is needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and protect our rights.
When information is no longer needed, we will delete it, anonymize it, or isolate it from further processing consistent with applicable law. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information as described in Section 8.
Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to or intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
If you believe a child under 13 is using the Service, please contact us at privacy@tradia.ai.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights with respect to your personal information:
- Access: You can request a copy of the personal information we maintain about you.
- Correction: You can correct or update certain information in your account settings.
- Deletion: You can request that we delete your account and certain personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Portability: You can request a copy of certain information in a portable format.
- Restriction / Objection: You may have the right to limit or object to certain types of processing (for example, targeted advertising or profiling).
- Marketing Preferences: You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails such as marketing or promotional messages. We may still send important administrative or safety notices.
To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@tradia.ai. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.
If you are a resident of California, Virginia, Colorado, or other jurisdictions that provide similar privacy rights to consumers, you may also have the right to appeal our decision if we are unable to honor your request. Instructions will be provided in our response.
State and Regional Privacy Disclosures (U.S. and International)
Certain privacy laws (for example, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and similar state laws) require us to provide additional disclosures, including:
- Categories of data collected: identifiers (like email), commercial information (listings and transactions), internet activity (usage analytics), geolocation (approximate location), and inferences (for example, interest categories or safety/risk scores).
- Sources of data: directly from you, automatically from your device and interactions, and from service providers assisting with fraud/safety, analytics, or platform features.
- Business purposes for collection and sharing: providing the Service, security/fraud prevention, marketing and analytics, and legal compliance.
- "Sale" / "Sharing" of data: We do not "sell" your personal information for money. Some states define "sell" or "share" more broadly to include certain types of analytics, advertising, or cross-context behavioral advertising. Where required, we will honor opt-out rights.
California / certain U.S. states: You may have the right to opt out of "selling" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising. You may contact privacy@tradia.ai to exercise this right.
EEA / UK / certain international regions: If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or a similar jurisdiction with data protection laws, our legal bases for processing may include:
- Performance of a contract (to provide the Service to you)
- Legitimate interests (for example, securing the platform, preventing fraud, improving the Service)
- Compliance with legal obligations
- Consent (for example, optional marketing or certain location sharing)
International Data Transfers
Your information may be stored and processed in countries other than the country where you reside. These countries may have data protection laws that are different from those in your jurisdiction.
Where required by law, we will implement appropriate safeguards for international data transfers (for example, standard contractual clauses or similar protections).
"Do Not Track" Signals
Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting. Because there is not yet a common industry standard for DNT, we do not currently respond to DNT signals. We will update this Privacy Policy if that changes.
AI and Automated Processing
We use artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to:
- Generate or refine listing descriptions and titles
- Classify and categorize listings
- Suggest pricing ranges or keywords
- Improve search relevance and recommendations
- Detect spam, scams, prohibited items, and fraud
These systems may analyze your listings, photos, messages, and usage patterns. We may also use automated tools to flag potential policy violations or safety risks.
AI-generated content may be incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading. Sellers are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings. Buyers must independently verify item condition, title status, and all material facts before making a purchase. See the Terms of Service for more detail.
Where possible, we de-identify or aggregate data used to train and improve these systems.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated version and revise the "Effective Date" above. In some cases, we may provide additional notice (for example, by email or in-app message). Your continued use of the Service after we post changes means you accept those changes.
